본문 내용
□ 제 목 : Hadron physics under extreme condition
□ 연 사 : 이수형 교수 (연세대 물리학과)
□ 일 시 : 2005년 3월 24일(목) 오후 4시
□ 장 소 : 공동실험관 1호관 물리학과 213강의실
□ 내 용 : The world of strongly interacting particles, whose underlying theory for interaction in QCD, is believed to undergo a phase transition to a new state of matter at high temperature. Relativistic heavy ion collisions are performed at Brookhaven National lab and planned at GSI and LHC to create such new state of matter at the initial stages of the collisions. In this talk, I will summarize the underlying theory for such phase transition and thepresent status of the experimental findings. I will also talk about the contribution of Korean physicists in this field and highlight some future research directions in this field.
