반도체물성연구소(반도체공정연구센터)에서는 다음과 같이 화합물반도체의 전문가이신 김용훈 박사님을 초빙하여 세미나를 개최합니다.

ABSTRACT
Although the PIN diodes are one of the oldest semiconductor devices, the state-of-the-art performance of the Monolithic PIN switches has been continuously advanced so that its application has been broadened from the traditional military applications to the low-cost commercial applications such as 77GHz automotive collision avoidance systems. Its application has also been broadened to the low cost, low power, high bandwidth optical network switching systems such as cross-point switches. In this presentation, the recent advance of the technology will be reviewed including the low-cost manufacturing of the monolithic PIN switches, heterojunction PIN diodes, and optical cross-point switches of thyristors.
