Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) will open an on-campus direct sales venue to help local small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners develop sales channels and validate marketability.
JBNU Institute for Regional Development announced that it will hold the promotional and sales exhibition 'JB Corporate Win-Win Market' for products from local SMEs and small business owners in the first-floor lobby of Jinsudang on the 26th.
This event is a mutual-growth program linked to JBNU's Glocal University 30 project, in which the university directly provides local companies with consumer touchpoints. It was planned to reflect on-site needs of local companies that, despite excellent products, struggle with low brand awareness and difficulties securing offline sales channels.
Ten local companies active in the province will participate in the event (▲더씽킹 ▲멜팅뮤즈 ▲잎새 ▲칠영 ▲성림지에스 ▲에푸에푸 ▲카페보네 ▲꽃빛마루협동조합 ▲덕진카페보네로스터리 ▲가치가게). Open wooden booths will be set up in the frequently trafficked lobby of Jinsudang to showcase a variety of consumer goods, including local specialty foods and snacks, eco-friendly household items, crafts, and regionally linked merchandise.
Each company will meet potential consumers directly, including university members and local residents, to promote and sell products. To induce actual sales conversion, the Institute will provide the first 300 visitors with a 10,000-won discount ticket. In addition, the Institute will offer as prizes company products pre-purchased by the Institute worth 3 million won (292 items in total), and will run an "additional draw" event by purchase amount for customers who purchased using personal funds to stimulate consumption.
Beyond simple sales, the event will also include marketability testing to enhance the competitiveness of companies' products. Immediately after purchase, consumers will be invited to participate in a voluntary survey to evaluate product satisfaction and the appropriateness of planning. The Institute will analyze this data and provide it to each company. The initiative aims to establish a sustainable company support platform following the cycle of "demand discovery → close support → demonstration and promotion → feedback loop."
President Yang O-bong said, "Local promising companies have had limited offline channels to meet and engage directly with consumers. I hope this Win-Win Market will be an opportunity to raise regional brand awareness, secure tangible sales, and, furthermore, to conduct a rigorous marketability test." He added, "We will continue to expand the local business ecosystem that grows alongside regional industries, centered on the Glocal University 30 project."
Meanwhile, JBNU Institute for Regional Development plans to continue close-support programs for regional industry, such as company-tailored consulting and joint promotion, based on the consumer feedback collected after the event.
