Professor Chan-ho Kim (College of Natural Science, Department of Mathematics) has been selected for the 18th cohort (2027) of the POSCO Science Fellowship, administered by the POSCO Cheongam Foundation, and will receive research funding of KRW 100 million over two years.
 

The POSCO Science Fellowship is the flagship research support program of the POSCO Cheongam Foundation that selects outstanding early-career scientists appointed to domestic universities within the past three years and supports their development into world-class researchers. A total of 32 early-career scientists, including Professor Kim, were selected for the 18th cohort.
 

Professor Kim attended the certificate ceremony for the 18th POSCO Science Fellowship held on October 1 at the POSCO Center in Seoul. This selection has enabled him to secure a stable research base and further concentrate on his research.
 

The POSCO Cheongam Foundation stated that it expects the fellows, who were selected through intense competition, to devote themselves to research and grow into world-class scientists.
 

Since its launch in 2009, the POSCO Science Fellowship has selected a total of 575 scientists and provided research funding totaling KRW 39.5 billion through this year, supporting the development of early-career scientists in South Korea.
