Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Business Incubator(Director Kuk Kyung-su) supports promising regional startups in developing overseas sales channels and strengthening brand competitiveness, thereby underpinning their entry into global markets. It focuses on converting consultations with overseas buyers into export collaborations and follow-up support to expand the growth base of regional companies.

These efforts are part of the program operated by the JBNU Business Incubator together with the Jeonbuk Bio-Convergence Industry Promotion Institute, ECO Convergence Textile Research Institute, and Jeonbuk Science College called the ‘2026 Specialized Capacity BI Support Project’’ and its ‘24th World Korean Business Convention Participation Support Project’. The initiative aims to discover and nurture companies with outstanding startup items and innovative capabilities in the region and to support their entry into domestic and international markets.

Participating companies J K Nanobio Co., Ltd., Global Clam Co., Ltd., and CellCore Co., Ltd. recently engaged with overseas buyers at the 24th World Korean Business Convention and concretized prospects for export cooperation. They showcased differentiated products such as traditional Korean herbal beverages, freeze-dried seafood, and oral probiotics, confirming overseas market demand and laying the groundwork for cooperation to expand domestic distribution channels.

J K Nanobio Co., Ltd. introduced its traditional herbal beverage products and discussed local distribution and export plans with Chinese distributors. In particular, it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on a business partnership to pursue exports valued at 1.5 billion won, strengthening its foundation for entry into the Chinese market. Building on this, it will continue follow-up consultations to expand local distribution channels and product supply, and plans to diversify sales channels by expanding consumer touchpoints in the domestic online market.

Global Clam Co., Ltd. consulted with buyers from Japan·Taiwan·and the Middle East about its freeze-dried clams and oyster products to assess local market demand and distribution environments. It also discussed distribution expansion plans with major domestic retailers, securing a cooperative basis to develop both the domestic and export markets.

Oral probiotic specialist CellCore Co., Ltd. showcased oral probiotics for companion animals and achieved full sales of its exhibited products. Receiving interest from Korean business buyers based in the United States and Germany, the company identified key export markets and plans to advance overseas entry through participation in local trade fairs and the discovery of distribution partners.

The JBNU Business Incubator will also operate follow-up programs to support participating companies in filing domestic and international trademark applications. These efforts are intended to enhance companies' brand competitiveness during overseas market entry and to ensure that outcomes from buyer consultations lead to sustained market expansion.
