Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) has launched company-specific IR support to strengthen the ability to attract investment and enhance business competitiveness in the sports industry.

JBNU Startup Support Group (Director: Professor Guk Kyung‑su) Sports Industry Pre-Seed and Early Startup Support Center announced that it operated the 'Boot IR Solution_AI (Accelerating IR)' program on September 29 and 30. The program provided staged support ranging from company-specific IR material production to communication with investment experts, mock IR pitching, and one-on-one investment mentoring.

The program was attended by pre-seed and early-stage startups selected for the 2026 Sports Industry Startup Support Project, who focused intensively on strengthening practical capabilities for securing investment.

Based on each participating company's business model and growth stage, the program supported the production of IR materials. Using the materials produced, actual investors were invited to conduct mock company presentations that simulated an investment screening scenario.

After the mock pitching sessions, one-on-one mentoring focused on strengthening practical skills to respond to real investment environments.

In addition, an IR-Depth Lecture Concert provided an open forum for participants to freely discuss questions about investment and fundraising with investment experts and seek answers through dialogue.

The program is meaningful in that it was structured to link staged activities — starting with IR material production support, followed by communication with investment experts, mock IR pitching, and company-specific tailored feedback — so that sports industry startup companies can improve their understanding of the investment attraction process and strengthen their practical IR capabilities.

Professor Guk Kyung‑su, Director of the JBNU Sports Industry Pre-Seed and Early Startup Support Center, said, "For early-stage startups, IR is an important process for effectively communicating a company's business model and growth potential to investors and laying the groundwork for future fundraising. We helped companies reassess their businesses from an investor's perspective through this opportunity."

He added, "We will continue to provide practical support tailored to each company's business model and growth stage so that sports industry startups can enhance their investment-attraction capabilities and grow into competitive companies in the market."
