Jeonbuk National University (JBNU)'s representative autumn festival, '2026 Hakmunche,' was held on the 9th at various campus locations, including Student Town and the JBNU Complex Stadium.

Organized by JBNU's 58th 'Jeonshim' Student Council, this Hakmunche was presented as an open cultural festival that fostered communication among domestic and international students and the local community.

During the day, international students staffed 'Six Continents' cultural experience booths at Geonji Plaza, offering continent-specific traditional cultures, games, and unique craft workshops from Asia, Europe, Africa, the Americas, and Oceania.

In particular, a flea market featuring local small business owners, food trucks, and a night market also took place at the festival, creating an event that fostered mutually beneficial ties between the university and the local community.

At night, popular rappers Loco and Coogie performed on the Student Town parking lot stage, heightening the festival atmosphere.

President Yang O-bong said, "This year's Hakmunche, led by students, showcased a mature university culture in which domestic and international students and local residents came together," adding, "We will continue to keep the campus wide open, work closely with the local community, and steadily strengthen our standing as a glocal university poised to advance onto the global stage."
