Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Central Library (Director Seol Dong‑hoon) is recruiting participants for a 'Research Boot Camp' to enhance the research capabilities of graduate students and early‑career researchers and to support the production of tangible research outcomes.

Operated as part of the National University Development Project, the program is an intensive research support course that provides step‑by‑step assistance across the entire research process, from identifying research topics and designing studies to data analysis, manuscript writing, and submission strategies. In particular, it emphasizes strengthening researchers' capabilities to respond to the changing research environment through training in the use of academic information based on artificial intelligence (AI) and hands‑on manuscript writing practice.

Eligible participants are JBNU graduate students and early‑career researchers. Approximately 30 participants will be selected. Applications are accepted from individuals as well as collaborative research teams. Selected participants will be organized into small groups according to research field and will receive one‑on‑one and small‑group tailored coaching from experts.

The program will run from October through December and consists of preliminary lectures and pre‑coaching, an intensive boot camp, and post‑coaching.

On October 8, an orientation will be held along with a special lecture on using academic information based on AI and on manuscript writing. From October 12 to November 10, online coaching will help participants refine their research topics, review research designs, and support the revision of research proposals.

The intensive boot camp, held from November 13 to 15, will provide a three‑day environment focused on manuscript writing under close, on‑site coaching by experts. Sessions will also be held for participants to share research experiences and exchange feedback. Thereafter, online post‑coaching will continue to provide follow‑up support for manuscript revision and completion, journal submission, and finalizing theses.

Applications can be submitted via the JBNU Central Library website or mobile app from 10:00 AM on September 7 until 5:00 PM on September 18. Applicants must submit an application form, a research proposal, a supervisor recommendation letter, and a consent form for the collection and use of personal information. Final participants will be awarded 10 library mileage points.
