JBNU Contracted Enrollment System Project Group for Convergent Education in Aerospace, AI and Advanced Defense (Director Bae Jun-su) has strengthened its collaboration network with consortium universities and participating companies and has begun full-scale training of master's-level professionals based on industry demand.

The Project Group attended the '2026 Contracted Enrollment System Initiative Second Half Workshop' hosted by the Korea Industrial Technology Association (KOITA) at the Homers Hotel in Busan on the 3rd and 4th. The workshop was attended by representatives from consortium universities including JBNU, Pusan National University and Dongguk University, participating students and corporate representatives, and officials from the Ministry of Science and ICT, the supervising ministry.

The Contracted Enrollment System is an employment-guaranteed, customized talent development program in which students complete a two-year master's program based on pre-employment agreements with companies and then join the contracted firms. Universities reflect corporate demand in curricula and research projects, while companies participate from the education stage to secure professionals who can be deployed immediately in the field.

The workshop was organized to actively promote the industry–university project entering its second year and to share best practices for university-specific master's-level customized talent development to disseminate project outcomes. It also emphasized strengthening project implementation capacity and the cooperation base by activating exchanges among universities, companies and students.

At the event, consortium universities including JBNU, Pusan National University and Dongguk University presented best practices for talent development and shared key achievements. Participants discussed measures to revitalize and improve the project for the successful completion of the industry–university projects and sought concrete cooperation directions between universities and companies through networking.

In particular, university and corporate representatives shared their experiences in implementing the program and focused discussions on ways to effectively incorporate the professional competencies required by industry into education and industry–university projects. They also exchanged various opinions on field difficulties and improvement tasks that emerged during project implementation.

Based on the discussions at this workshop, the Project Group plans to intensively promote customized industry–university projects centered on the master's program that reflect the needs of participating companies. Students will be supported to enhance practical skills and secure stable employment opportunities by carrying out real industrial tasks.

The Project Group intends to further solidify the employment-linked virtuous cycle by timely supplying master's-level talent equipped with the professional knowledge and practical abilities demanded on-site, ensuring that corporate personnel needs are reflected in university education and industry–university projects and leading to employment of the trained personnel.
