Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Central Library is recruiting participants for a Research Boot Camp to strengthen the research capabilities of graduate students and early-career researchers.

Operated as part of the National University Promotion Project, this program is an intensive research support program that provides step-by-step assistance across the entire research process, from identifying research topics to research design, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and submission strategies. It places particular emphasis on enhancing researchers’ ability to respond to the changing research environment through AI-based instruction in using academic information and hands-on paper-writing exercises.

The program is open to JBNU graduate students and early-career researchers. Approximately 30 participants will be selected. Applications are accepted from individuals as well as research teams. Final selectees will be organized into small groups according to research field and receive tailored coaching from experts.

The program runs from October through December and consists of preliminary lectures, pre-coaching, an intensive boot camp, and post-coaching. It will begin with an AI-based academic information and manuscript-writing special lecture and orientation on October 8. From October 12 to November 10, experts will provide online one-on-one (1:1) and small-group coaching to help participants refine research topics, review research designs, and complete research plans.

During the on-site intensive boot camp from November 13 to 15, participants will be offered an environment to concentrate on manuscript writing for three days through close expert mentoring. Opportunities for research exchange and feedback among participants will also be provided. Subsequent online post-coaching will offer follow-up support for manuscript revision and submission, as well as completion of theses.

Applications are open from September 7 at 10:00 AM to September 18 at 5:00 PM. Applicants may apply via the JBNU Central Library website or mobile app. Required documents include the application form, research plan, supervisor recommendation letter, and consent form for the collection and use of personal information. Selected participants will receive 10 library mileage points.
