JBNU is activating the largest international collaboration network ever, encompassing sitting presidents of world-renowned universities, global corporations, and international educational organizations. The initiative is intended to further strengthen JBNU's position as a higher-education innovation hub leading the government's 'Local Talent Development Linked to Growth Engines (Creating Ten Seoul National Universities)' policy.

JBNU announced that it will form a "Global Advisory Committee" centered on the presidents of overseas partner universities and will begin advancing large-scale projects linked with global companies and international organizations. The initiative is notable as an expanded collaboration model that goes beyond inter-university academic exchange to combine the practical capacities of global industry and international institutions.

The Global Advisory Committee will include presidents from sister universities representing North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, including Purdue University (USA), Sorbonne Nouvelle University (France), China University of Geosciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia), and Mohammed V University (Morocco).

In addition, France's global defense and advanced technology company Thales Group and the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), which maintains a network of over 1,000 French-language universities worldwide, will join as cooperation partners. By establishing a multi-layered collaboration structure that brings universities, companies, and international organizations together, the focus is on organically linking global education, research, and industry.

Based on this mega network, JBNU plans to provide its students with a more advanced global education environment. The university will progressively expand joint-degree programs with partner universities and upgrade exchange-student programs. It will also pursue collaborative research in advanced technology fields linked with global companies such as Thales, practical internships, and special lectures by leading global scholars and industry leaders.

At the same time, JBNU will significantly strengthen recruitment of outstanding international students and its global talent development system. The strategy is to attract verified overseas talent through top universities in each country and the AUF network, and to offer industry–university collaboration programs linked to Jeonbuk's advanced industrial infrastructure to transform JBNU into a "global industry–university–research hub."

We will complete an innovation ecosystem in which domestic students advance globally and leading global talent and companies gather in Jeonbuk, presenting an unparalleled success model for the 'Creating Ten Seoul National Universities' initiative."
