Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Continuing Education Center (Director Professor Jeong Yong-jun) is recruiting students for the Second Semester of the 2026 academic year to expand lifelong learning opportunities for local residents.

Applications will be accepted from August 3 to August 14, 2026, and courses will be held from September 1 to December 26, 2026, according to each course schedule.

The JBNU Continuing Education Center has prepared 193 courses across six divisions to reflect the diverse learning needs of the local community: Division of Educational Welfare; Division of Lifelong Liberal Arts; Division of Sports and Health; Division of Languages & Literature; Division of Arts; and Division of Vocational Education.

Through a wide range of programs in humanities and liberal arts, culture and the arts, health and sports, foreign languages, and vocational education, the center plans to support local residents in continuing their learning according to their interests and needs.

Notably, this semester the curriculum has been diversified with the introduction of two new courses: billiards and shuffle dance. As local interest in recreational sports and leisure activities grows, expanding practical and hobby-oriented programs that anyone can easily join is meaningful.

The center will also operate an Honorary Student Program to share JBNU's outstanding educational resources with the community. Except for some specialized courses, this program allows local residents to audit regular undergraduate classes, providing them with direct university learning experiences and broader learning choices.

Anyone interested in lifelong learning who is an adult may apply. Applications can be submitted through the JBNU Continuing Education Center website(https://cec.jbnu.ac.kr/), by phone (063-288-0022), or in person (13 Hyeonmu 2-gil, Wansan-gu, Jeonju).

Professor Jeong Yong-jun, Director, said, "We have prepared a variety of courses so that local residents can choose programs that suit their interests and needs. We will continue to serve faithfully as an open lifelong learning venue that connects the region and the university, and as a central hub of the regional lifelong learning community."
