Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Industry-University Cooperation Regional Child Center Jeonbuk Support Group is launching the 'We Dream Together - Dream up (Dream up)' project to support the learning development of children from low-income families in crisis.

The project will establish a learning support system for children from low-income families in crisis in the Gunsan, Gimje, and Buan areas of Jeollabuk-do. It will be carried out to improve academic ability and create a stable learning environment.

Through the project, the Support Group will provide comprehensive services including learning materials and after-school education fee support, assessment of learning levels, and case management. It plans to promote improvement in children's basic academic skills and strengthen their self-directed learning abilities. It will also provide guardian counseling and community linkages to support children's emotional stability and ensure ongoing learning support.

In particular, by establishing a learning support system centered on Regional Child Centers that connects community resources, the project is expected to contribute to narrowing educational gaps for low-income children and ensuring continuity of learning.

Choi Hyun-young, Director of the Regional Child Center Jeonbuk Support Group, said, "Through this project, we will strengthen institution-level support so that children from low-income families in crisis can continue learning in more stable environments. We will continue to actively support improvements in children's basic academic skills and healthy development through systematic learning support and case management."

Kim Seo-hyun, Chair of the Operations Committee (Department of Social Welfare, JBNU), stated, "We expect this project to strengthen community-based learning support systems and have a positive effect on reducing educational disparities among children from low-income families in crisis."

Meanwhile, the Regional Child Center Jeonbuk Support Group supports 287 Regional Child Centers in Jeollabuk-do with education, consulting, and evaluation, and provides tailored services to local children through various specialized programs.
