    Professor Jang Chang-seong Receives '2026 HRD New Researcher Award' from the Korean Association for Human Resource Development

    Professor Jang Chang-seong (Department of Education, College of Education) received the '2026 HRD New Researcher Award' presented by the Korean Association for Human Resource Development.

     

    The Korean Association for Human Resource Development annually awards this prize to early-career researchers who are within five years of obtaining a doctoral degree in human resource development and related fields, and who demonstrate outstanding scholarly value in their research outcomes and have the most excellent research performance. Professor Jang received the honor at the academic awards ceremony of the 2026 Spring Conference of the Korean Association for Human Resource Development, held on May 30, 2026 at Widang Hall, Yonsei University.

     

    Professor Jang, who joined as an assistant professor in the Department of Education, College of Education in 2026, conducts active research on a wide range of topics, including lifelong education and human resource development policy, national human resource development and vocational education and training, and labor market transitions and outcomes through adult learning. In particular, he has been recognized as an early-career researcher in the fields of lifelong education and human resource development by publishing excellent research outcomes in domestic and international academic venues.

     

    Professor Jang stated, "I accept this award as a mandate to pursue even more active scholarly activities and to develop as a researcher who contributes to the nation and society," and added, "I will continue to devote myself to research and teaching so that I can respond to the growing societal demand that emphasizes the social responsibility of lifelong education and human resource development in driving regional development."
