JBNU will dispatch the Internationalization Competency Activity Team overseas from July during the summer break to actively engage in global education and volunteer activities.

On the 23rd at 4:00 p.m., JBNU held the "2026 Summer Launch Ceremony for the Internationalization Competency Activity Team" in the Minju Auditorium on the fourth floor of Student Town, announcing the start of its overseas dispatch activities.

The event was attended by Yun Myeong-suk, Executive Vice-President of Foreign Affairs and Professional Affairs; Jo Dong-hyu, Vice-President of the Office of Student Career Support; Yu Chang-ho, Deputy Vice-President of the Office of Student Career Support; as well as the activity team's leaders and members and other related officials, who celebrated the launch.

The Internationalization Competency Activity Team is a program designed to promote the Korean language and K-culture through cooperation with overseas universities, raise the university's international profile, secure potential international students at an early stage, and instill global competencies, a spirit of service, and leadership in current students.

This summer's activity team consists of 50 members in total and will be dispatched respectively to the Sejong Institute in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and to schools in the Tashkent area of Uzbekistan.

The Kyrgyzstan team will be on site from July 2 to July 12, and the Uzbekistan team from July 10 to July 20. They will support Korean language education and carry out various exchange and volunteer activities locally.
