Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Divsion of Public Science, headed by Professor Jeong Tae-jong, invited Attorney Kim Yong-sung, who is serving as a Judicial Researcher at the Seoul Central District Court, and held the 6th Public JOB學 special lecture on the theme "The Path of a Judicial Researcher" on the 8th to provide career guidance and share practical experience in the legal field.

This lecture was organized as part of JBNU’s practical skills training program. It aimed to provide detailed information and practical advice on entering the legal profession and building a professional career, from preparing for admission to the Law School and passing the bar exam to performing duties as a Judicial Researcher.

During the lecture, Attorney Kim Yong-sung, an alumnus of the Divsion (Class of 2015), candidly shared detailed experiences and reflections centered on his career path, including preparing for admission to Law School, strategies for passing the bar exam, and practical experiences as a Judicial Researcher at the Seoul Central District Court. He offered concrete advice on step-by-step study methods and adapting to practice, helping students plan their careers.

Third-year student Park Ji-woo, who attended the lecture, said, "This lecture allowed me to set a more concrete direction for a career as a legal professional," and expressed deep gratitude to the alumnus for taking time for students despite a demanding schedule. She added, "I will complete the Division's curriculum diligently and prepare systematically for further study."

Professor Jeong Tae-jong, Division Head, evaluated, "Many graduates go on to Law School or enter professional careers, and these achievements are the accumulated results of the Division's systematic curriculum management and practice-linked programs." He added, "We will continue to strengthen mentoring between seniors and juniors and systematically support students' career competencies to cultivate public-sector professionals who combine theory and practice."

Meanwhile, the Divsion of Public Science has recently achieved notable results. It produced six passers in the 15th bar exam and recorded 11 successful candidates in the Law School admissions for the 2026 academic year, thereby steadily expanding the foundation for training the next generation of legal professionals. In addition, many current students passed the first-stage exams this year for the Grade 5 civil service recruitment, the certified labor attorney exam, and the real estate appraiser exam, and are now preparing for the second-stage examinations.
