Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Plant Quarantine Graduate School is recruiting new students for the second semester of the 2026 academic year to train professionals who will lead pest and disease management and quarantine in agricultural fields.
The JBNU Plant Quarantine Graduate School is a specialized graduate school operated with the aim of training specialists in pest and disease diagnosis, identification, and control who can respond to rapidly changing agricultural environments and threats to food security. It is run by a consortium including JBNU, Kyungpook National University, and Chonnam National University, and cultivates talent with both practical field capabilities and research expertise.
Established in 2021, the Plant Quarantine Graduate School strengthens practical expertise through field-centered and interdisciplinary curricula covering crop pest surveillance and diagnosis, quarantine, and smart control technologies. It also provides retraining for employees of related industries and other industry personnel.
This recruitment targets five candidates for the master’s degree program. The application period is June 8–19, 2026. After an oral examination, final successful applicants will be announced on July 10, 2026.
