Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) hosted the "2026 Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Start-up Package Week" on May 28, 2026, at the Namwon Suite Hotel to build a network among startup support organizations in the Jeonbuk region and to strengthen a linked support system across company growth stages.

The event was attended by JBNU, the Jeonbuk Regional Office of the Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, the Jeonbuk Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, the Korea Carbon Industry Promotion Agency, Wonkwang University and other key institutions, along with about 100 startup companies and stakeholders.

At the event, a 'Start-up Alumni Gathering (Alumni Talk Concert)' was held to promote exchanges between veteran entrepreneurs and early-stage startups. Practical know-how, including entrepreneurial experiences and cases of securing investment, was shared. Participating companies used an on-site Q&A session to resolve difficulties encountered during the startup process and to gain practice-oriented insights.

In addition, a special lecture on AI-based business management strategies and accounting and financial strategy development was delivered to strengthen startups' managerial capabilities. Inter-company networking and table meetings were actively conducted to expand collaboration opportunities and exchange information.

Through a roundtable attended by the Jeonbuk Regional Office of the Small and Medium Venture Business Administration and heads of major institutions, attendees discussed cooperation measures to revitalize regional entrepreneurship and shared their commitment to advancing the startup ecosystem through a joint performance.

JBNU Startup Support Director Guk Kyung-su said, "This program was a meaningful occasion that generated substantive exchanges and collaboration among startup companies," adding, "We will continue to support the revitalization of the regional startup ecosystem and company growth through cooperation with related organizations."
