Park Jong-seong, President & CEO of Saiplus Co., Ltd., which leads the dissemination of specialized knowledge in chemistry and chemical engineering, has donated KRW 6,000,000 to support the university's development and the education of future scholars.

Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) held a donation ceremony on the 26th in the President's Office at the university headquarters, attended by President Yang Oh-bong and Park Jong-seong. The donated funds will be used as a designated fund for the development of the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Chemical Engineering and for improving the educational environment.

This donation reflects his intention to fulfill a promise made around the time of the president's inauguration three years ago to donate a designated fund for the university's development.

At the ceremony, Mr. Park expressed his hope that the donation will provide valuable support for JBNU students to focus on their studies without financial hardship and to develop into core talents who will lead the future.

Mr. Park said, 'I believe that a university must grow together with its surrounding community to develop,' and added, 'I hope this donation helps reduce students' financial burden so they can devote themselves to study and research, and that it becomes the starting point of a virtuous cycle in which the university and businesses develop together.'

President Yang presented Mr. Park with a plaque of appreciation, saying, 'We are deeply grateful to President Park Jong-seong for his noble intention to support students and for contributing to national educational development through academic advancement.' He added, 'The donated funds will be used carefully by JBNU to cultivate world-class talent.'

Meanwhile, Saiplus Co., Ltd., which donated the development fund, is a specialized publisher in the fields of chemistry and chemical engineering. It supplies major original works and translated books in chemistry and chemical engineering and contributes to the advancement of scholarship and the dissemination of specialized knowledge in related fields.
