Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Central Library(Director Seol Dong-hoon) held the 12th event, the 1st floor Jungdo Lounge of the Central Library, titled “2026 Central Library Academic Electronic Resources Fair”.

The fair was organized so that members of the university could more easily understand and effectively use the library’s diverse academic electronic resources, and it provided practical support for activating research and learning activities.

The event, which ran from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., drew strong interest as undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and staff freely participated.

A total of 19 academic information providers and organizations participated, introducing a variety of scholarly content the library subscribes to—electronic journals, databases(DB), and e-books—and giving on-site demonstrations.

Participants in particular visited each booth to try out the latest methods for using scholarly information first-hand, creating opportunities to improve information accessibility needed for research and study.

Program elements such as the booth stamp tour, the fair-sharing event, and the on-site prize draw also encouraged participation.

5 or more booth visits plus completion of a satisfaction survey earned participants 10 points for the ‘KeunSaram Project’ and one hour recognized for the extracurricular program ‘College Life and Career Planning’. In addition, a raffle offered around 100 prizes, including iPad mini (7th generation), iPad (11th generation), and Marshall wireless headphones, which received a positive response.

Seol Dong-hoon, Director of the Central Library, said, “Effective use of scholarly information is a crucial foundation for enhancing research competitiveness and learning outcomes in a rapidly changing research environment” and added, “I hope this fair has served as an opportunity to strengthen members’ abilities to use academic information and to actively utilize library resources”.
