JBNU's club festival, the 2026 Donginje, concluded successfully on April 30, 2026, with the university community, including enrolled and international students, and local residents participating.

This year's Donginje added significance as a youth festival that showcased the appeal of JBNU's club culture and its spirit of community. In particular, the international student association participated officially for the first time, incorporating an international-exchange element into the club festival and demonstrating new possibilities for a glocal campus.

The Donginje featured clubs from eight divisions (performances, exhibitions, etc.), which shared the outcomes of activities that highlighted their individual personalities and characteristics, showcasing the diverse appeal of club culture. Through a range of programs—including club performances and exhibitions, interactive booths, competitions, invited lectures by prominent figures, and celebrity celebratory performances—the festival blended observation and participation and provided an opportunity to bring club culture closer to members of the university community.

In particular, the celebrity celebratory performances and invited lectures by prominent figures heightened the festival's engagement and symbolic significance. Evolved into a composite festival blending culture, art, and interaction, the Donginje reaffirmed its status as a flagship university cultural festival created and enjoyed by students.

The global booths run by the Chinese and Vietnamese international student associations, participating for the first time this year, added special significance to the festival. By introducing each country's culture and offering hands-on programs, enrolled and international students mingled naturally, and local residents also took part, expanding the event into an open campus festival for everyone.

For the first time, international students also participated in the competitions. This was noted as an example of adding internationality and cultural diversity to the club festival and of putting JBNU's Glocal University 30 vision into practice on the ground.

President Yang O-bong said, "Donginje has established itself as a community where students share their dreams and passions and grow together. We will continue to support students' challenges and growth going forward."
