JBNU will hold the '2026 First Semester Major Exploration Fair' at the Jeondae Stadium on campus for two days, April 29 to 30, 2026, to assist students preparing to choose a major.
This event was implemented as part of the Ministry of Education's Glocal University 30 Project and is characterized by combining AI-based career planning with immersive experiential programs.
The fair focused on supporting 2026 freshmen and current students who need to choose a major or explore careers. It aimed to help students explore majors that match their aptitudes and interests and to concretize their career plans.
Over the two-day event, a total of 77 departments (including divisions) participated, operating booths by major and providing students with a variety of departmental information.
In particular, going beyond simple major guidance, the fair introduced experiential programs using AI and XR technologies, offering students a more engaging opportunity to explore their career paths.
The major and employment information exploration program using the university's self-developed 'AI JOB@JBNU' system also attracted attention.
Students could check the characteristics and career directions of majors of interest, as well as seniors' employment statuses, enabling more systematic career planning.
President Yang O-bong said, "This fair, which integrates AI and XR technologies, is an attempt to provide students with a realistic environment for career exploration," and added, "As JBNU is demonstrating its student-centeredness through the Glocal University 30 Project, we will continue to expand career support systems aligned with the AI era."
