JBNU demonstrated strong capability by claiming first place in the team competition at the 30th Minister of Education's Cup National Public University Staff Tennis Tournament held at Seoul National University from April 23 to 25.

The tournament began with an opening ceremony on April 23, followed by the singles on April 24 and the team competition on April 25. A total of 43 teams from 30 universities nationwide, with approximately 500 participants, competed in intense contests.

JBNU displayed outstanding performance in the team competition and captured the championship. In the quarterfinals, the team defeated Gyeongsang University 3–1 to advance smoothly to the semifinals. In the semifinal against the host, Seoul National University, the match was tightly contested. With the teams tied 2–2, JBNU produced a thrilling come-from-behind victory in the final match to complete a 3–2 win and secure a place in the final.

In the final, JBNU maintained stable match control and defeated Chonnam National University 3–1 to clinch the title.

Kim Joo-hyun, President of the JBNU Staff Tennis Association, said, "We were able to achieve this valuable victory thanks to the players who never gave up and demonstrated strong teamwork. In particular, the come-from-behind win in the semifinals was the result of everyone coming together as one." He added, "We will continue to promote club activities to foster unity among staff and a healthy organizational culture."

Meanwhile, JBNU players also excelled in the singles. In the Youth Division, the pair Eun Hee-ju (Division of Academic Affairs) and Hwang Hyun-jun (Division of Facilities) won the title. In the Adult Division, the pair Ki Jong-geun (Office of information Innovation) and Jang Kyung-sook (University Press & Broadcasting Service) finished third. Han In-hyun, former Director of the Division of Facilities, added a runner-up finish in the Senior Division.
