Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Alumni Association (President Choi Byung-seon) has launched efforts to develop outstanding talent by providing scholarships to current students.

The JBNU Alumni Association held the 41st Delegates' Council for 2026 at 2:00 p.m. on April 26, 2026, in Glocal Hall on the 2nd floor of Jinsudang on campus, and announced that it had awarded scholarships totaling KRW 26 million to 26 current students. Each scholarship recipient received KRW 1 million.

The scholarships were awarded to students selected by each college based on academic achievement and exemplary campus life. Recipients were chosen across a range of majors. The scholars received scholarship certificates and expressed their determination to grow into contributors to society.

President Choi Byung-seon said, "The participation and support of alumni form the foundation of the scholarship program," and added, "We will continue our efforts to support junior students and to contribute to the advancement of our alma mater."

The delegates' council proceeded with an opening declaration and the national ceremonial observance, followed by the president's remarks, adoption of the minutes of the previous meeting, business report, audit report, and deliberation of agenda items. Despite being a weekend afternoon, many delegates attended, making the meeting a success.

During the deliberation of agenda items, three proposals were tabled — the settlement of general and special accounts for fiscal year 2025, the budget for general and special accounts for fiscal year 2026, and a proposal for the management of surplus funds through financial products — and all were approved as submitted. Thereafter, the business report and the audit report were presented, sharing the Alumni Association's operational achievements and financial status.

After the delegates' council adjourned, lecturer Park Hyun-kyung delivered a humanities lecture on "Emotionally Resonant Communication."
