Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Law School alumnus and leader in the renewable energy industry, Kim Dae-ho, CEO of Daekyung Sandeon Co., Ltd., donated 20 million won to the university development fund to support his alma mater's advancement and the cultivation of local talent.

On the 8th, JBNU held a ceremony to present the development fund in the President's Office at the University Headquarters with President Yang O-bong and CEO Kim Dae-ho in attendance. The donated funds will be used for the Department of Electrical Engineering and Law School scholarship funds and for supporting students' living expenses.

This donation expresses Mr. Kim's intention, as a graduate of JBNU Law School who has been active in business in the local community, to repay the support he received from his alma mater and the local community and to give hope to the junior generations who will lead the future.

At the donation ceremony, Mr. Kim said he hopes the donation will serve as a valuable resource enabling JBNU students to concentrate on their studies without financial hardship and to develop into key leaders who will guide the local community.

Mr. Kim stated, "I believe that for a company to succeed, it must grow together with the surrounding community," adding, "I hope this donation helps create an environment where students can ease financial burdens and devote themselves to study and research, and that it becomes the starting point of a virtuous cycle in which the local community and businesses develop together."

President Yang presented a plaque of appreciation to Mr. Kim, saying, "We are deeply grateful to CEO Kim Dae-ho for his noble intention to support younger generations while contributing to national industrial development through technological innovation," and added, "We will use the donated funds carefully to nurture world-class talent at JBNU."

Meanwhile, Daekyung Sandeon Co., Ltd., led by CEO Kim Dae-ho, is a renewable energy specialist company that has developed its own power distribution panels for electric power systems, solar power generation systems, and monitoring solutions, possessing distinctive technological capabilities. In particular, based on its excellent procurement competitiveness in the fields of building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), fixed photovoltaic (PV) systems, and distribution panel instrumentation and control devices, the company has been nationally recognized for its capabilities in manufacturing and installing government procurement materials.

Currently, Mr. Kim has been recognized for his entrepreneurial spirit with awards including the Prime Minister's Commendation and the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy's Commendation. He has served as a director of the Korea Electrical Industry Research Association and as a director of the Jeonju Industrial Complex Council, and is devoted to promoting the mutual development of universities, businesses, and the local community in various ways.
