Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Startup Incubation Center (Director Guk Gyeong-su) has once again proven it is the region's leading startup support organization by earning the highest S rating in the "2025 Startup Incubation Center Operational Performance Evaluation" conducted by the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province.

The evaluation comprehensively assessed incubation centers within the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province on factors including strengthening the expertise of dedicated personnel, center operations and company support performance, and the outcomes of incubated companies. JBNU's Startup Incubation Center received high marks for driving revenue growth and job creation among its incubated companies through a systematic incubation system and differentiated, tailored support.

In particular, "Hope Jeonbuk Post-BI," which is operated on a consignment basis by JBNU, also achieved an A rating in this evaluation. This result demonstrates that JBNU's full-cycle startup support infrastructure—from pre-entrepreneurship and early-stage startups to the scale-up stage—is producing tangible outcomes.

JBNU's Startup Incubation Center has been leveraging the university's excellent human and material resources to provide multifaceted support to incubated companies, including expert mentoring, prototype production support, strengthening investor relations (IR) capabilities, and exploring global markets. It is leading innovation-driven growth linked to the strategic industries of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province.

These efforts have translated into visible revenue growth and successful investment attraction for incubated companies, serving as a catalyst for regional economic revitalization.

Guk Gyeong-su, director of the Startup Incubation Center, said, "This achievement is the result of the center and the incubated companies working as one team." He added, "We will continue to serve as a strong ladder for promising startups to grow into mid-sized companies through close cooperation with the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province and related organizations."

He added, "We will not be complacent with the S and A ratings. In 2026, we will strengthen practical support measures to help startups overcome the Death Valley and take the lead in making Jeonbuk a hub for entrepreneurship in the Republic of Korea."
