Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Dr. Seo Yu-hyun Appointed Senior Researcher at Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology

Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Dr. Seo Yu-hyun (graduate of the Graduate School of Flexible Pinted Electronics) has been appointed as a Senior Researcher at the Photonic Energy Research Center of the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology.

 

Dr. Seo graduated from the Department of Electronic Materials Engineering at JBNU in 2014 and earned her PhD from the Graduate School of Flexible Pinted Electronics in 2021. Afterward, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology, conducting active research on efficiency and stability enhancement in perovskite solar cells and large-area module technologies.

 

In particular, Dr. Seo demonstrated industrial scalability beyond the laboratory through research on implementing 30×30 cm-class flexible large-area perovskite modules. Based on large-area process control and interfacial stabilization technologies, she achieved simultaneous high efficiency and flexibility.

 

These research achievements have been published in leading international journals in the energy and materials fields, including Joule, Advanced Energy Materials, and Nano Energy, earning recognition for their academic excellence. She is expected to begin full-scale research at the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology to advance the commercialization of perovskites.

 

Kang Rae-hyung, Head of the Graduate School of Flexible Pinted Electronics, said, "It is very encouraging that a graduate of the professional graduate school has been appointed as a Senior Researcher at a national core research institute, the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology," and added, "We will continue to produce outstanding research talent through research-focused education."

 

Dr. Seo said, "During my graduate studies, I was able to grow as a researcher by experiencing a high-quality research environment and challenging projects," adding, "I want to contribute to practical technology development for the commercialization of large-area solar cells going forward."
