Min-soo Cho, Representative Director of Hansamkora Co., Ltd. and a graduate of Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Graduate School of Business Administration who has been driving regional industrial development, has taken the lead in practicing corporate social responsibility by donating 10 million won to his alma mater to support the university's development and the cultivation of local talent.
JBNU held a donation ceremony for the development fund on March 11 in the President's Office at the University Headquarters, attended by President Yang O-bong and Representative Director Min-soo Cho, and presented a plaque of appreciation to express gratitude for the gift.
The donation was made so that Mr. Cho could repay the support he received from his alma mater and the local community and to give hope to the students who will lead the future.
Representative Director Min-soo Cho said he hopes the donation will serve as a valuable resource enabling JBNU students to devote themselves to their studies without financial hardship and grow into key talents who will lead the local community.
Representative Director Cho said, "I believe that for a company to succeed, it must grow together with the surrounding community," adding, "As JBNU is a cradle that gathers the talents of our region, I hope that the small seed of my donation will one day grow into a great tree and become a forest of talent that enriches the Jeonbuk region."
President Yang O-bong responded, "We deeply appreciate Representative Director Min-soo Cho for his noble intention to support junior students, particularly as he contributes to national industrial development through technological innovation," and added, "We will use the donated funds carefully to nurture world-class talent at JBNU."
