“We will do our utmost to publicize the excellence of Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) as it soars as a Glocal University.”

The 26th Student Ambassadors 'Jeonyul', who will serve as a primary channel for promoting JBNU both internally and externally, officially received their letters of appointment and have begun a year of full-scale activities.

JBNU announced that President Yang O-bong presented letters of appointment to 19 new student ambassadors, including student Jeong Jin-wook (Faculty of Economics), and urged them to enhance the university's domestic and international image. He also presented certificates of completion to 23 members of the 25th Student Ambassadors, including student Yuk Seung-hoon, who successfully completed their one-year term, and commended them for their efforts.

The newly appointed student ambassadors will serve as the university's face-to-face communication channel for one year. They will conduct information sessions for university visitors, assist with protocol at major official events, promote admissions, and lead campus tours.

In particular, in response to changes in the new media environment, they will focus on strengthening two-way communication by planning and producing social media (SNS) content reflecting current trends—such as card news and vlogs—and by operating official online channels.

Jeong Jin-wook, representative of the 26th Student Ambassadors, stated, “To elevate the external brand of JBNU, I will strengthen audience-centered, tailored communication channels and do my best to effectively convey, in terms the public can understand, our status as a Glocal University connecting the region and the world, and our innovative educational and research achievements.”

President Yang O-bong said, “JBNU student ambassadors have served as vanguards in communicating the university's excellence to the public in various ways,” and added, “As a student-centered university and a flagship institution leading regional development, we expect them to play a central role in broadly promoting JBNU's capabilities and vision.”
