Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Divsion of Public Science has demonstrated the competitiveness of its professional talent development by achieving successive pass results in the legal and public sectors.

JBNU Divsion of Public Science (Head: Professor Kang Mun-gyeong) announced on the 26th that it recorded excellent results throughout 2025 in major national and professional qualification examinations and public sector placements.

The Divsion produced one successful candidate each in the certified appraiser, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and certified labor consultant examinations last year. It also produced two judicial researchers at the Seoul High Court and five bar examination passers.

In addition, 11 students were finally admitted to the 2026 Law School—the highest number for a single major—and the Divsion also produced successful candidates in the open competitive recruitment for police executive positions, achieving balanced results across the legal, administrative, and public safety fields.

These outcomes are interpreted as the result of career-specific curricula for the legal and public sectors, qualification exam preparation programs, and strengthened practice-oriented training. The Divsion has enhanced students' competitiveness through systematic curricular and extracurricular programs and guidance linked to professional career paths.

Professor Kang Mun-gyeong, Head of the Divsion of Public Science, said, “These achievements are significant because they show that the public and legal sector–specialized educational innovations pursued through various project participations, together with individual student efforts, are bearing fruit. Our educational focus is on cultivating practical professionals who can address regional and national public issues, beyond merely passing examinations.”

He added, “We will continue to strengthen linkages to professional career paths, including advancement to Law School, and we will build a leading model for public talent development as a regional national university.”

Meanwhile, JBNU Divsion of Public Science plans to continue advancing its curricula and expanding extracurricular programs for training talent in the public and legal sectors, and to strengthen collaboration with regional and public institutions.
