Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) JBNU G-Lamp Project Group, together with the College of Natural Science, held "The 1st Basic Science Festival," the first official event to share basic science research outcomes in the materials and energy fields and to promote dissemination of student researchers' research outcomes.

The event divided the space within Jinsudang into JBNU-GloLIS(JBNU-Global LAMP Institute of Science) Research Institute Academic Conference and College of Natural Science Research Outcomes Exhibition and Presentation, creating a forum for researchers and students to share outcomes.

At the JBNU-GloLIS Research Institute Academic Conference, affiliated faculty presented the academic and technical significance and future research plans, focusing on the major research outcomes derived through the second year of the G-Lamp (LAMP) project. In particular, they systematically shared research progress toward achieving the project's goals and stage-by-stage outcomes, and presented research directions and medium- to long-term strategies.

At the College of Natural Science Research Outcomes Exhibition and Presentation, research institutes affiliated with the College and student researchers showcased their research results in poster and exhibition formats. Student researchers directly explained the background for selecting their topics, the experimental and analysis processes, and the significance of their results, and they engaged in active Q&A with attendees.

Hee-seon Kim JBNU G-Lamp Project Group, Director, said, "We expect this event to strengthen the research foundation by generating medium- to long-term research outcomes centered on research institutes and by expanding student researchers' participation," and added, "We will continue to operate the outcomes-sharing model to promote dissemination of research outcomes and to enhance the university's research competitiveness."

Meanwhile, the JBNU G-Lamp Project Group plans to gradually expand programs that link research institutes' research outcomes with student research activities in order to increase the dissemination and utilization of research outcomes.
