The Jeonbuk National University (JBNU)-affiliated Center for Gifted Education in Science (Director Professor Jeong Deok-ho) held a completion ceremony on December 13 at the University Academic and Cultural Center for 160 students who completed the 2025 gifted education program.
At the ceremony, 160 students in total completed all programs, including 52 students from the Elementary Advanced Program, 80 from the Middle School Advanced Program, and 28 from the Middle School Mentored Program, who completed their courses at the Center.
Students in the Advanced Program received at least 100 instructional hours over one year in software coding education, hands-on artificial intelligence (AI) training, and project-based exploratory activities across various fields. Through the curriculum, the Center carried out its initiative to cultivate creative, inquiry-oriented scientific talent.
Additionally, the Mentored Program for students demonstrating exceptional giftedness ran from April to November in the form of research projects for approximately eight months, providing more than 80 instructional hours. The program played a leading role in nurturing future scientists.
