Jeonbuk National University (JBNU)'s Department of Software Engineering successfully held "2025 SE-DAY (Department of Software Engineering Day)" on Saturday, December 6, at Jinsudang Kim Gwang-su Hall.

SE-DAY is an occasion for current students to share a year of academic and project achievements and to communicate with alumni. This year marked the 15th edition. At the start of the event, icebreakers and a tea time created an atmosphere for participants to interact naturally. The subsequent exhibition and hands-on programs showcased students' creative and practical projects prepared over the year, drawing strong interest.

In the alumni lecture, class of 2018 alumnus Kim Hyun-su spoke under the title "The Story of Manager Kim: Working at a Major Company While Paying Monthly Rent in Bundang," sharing his experiences and offering practical advice to junior students. After the lecture, a talk session centered on pre-submitted questions facilitated active communication between alumni and current students.

Awards were also presented to outstanding student projects. The Grand Prize was awarded to the Isamiyuk Team (Choi Yun-seo, Kim Min-jae, Yoo So-min, Jo Eun-sol) for developing a "Real-Time Speech–Lip-Shape Analysis System for Korean Pronunciation Correction," and they delivered the representative presentation. The Excellence Award was jointly awarded to the Ajaping Team (Kim Yul, Kim Seo-kyung, Son Hyun-ah, Choi Jeong-in) for their "AI Jeonse Lease Guide System for First-Time Tenants" and to the Least Team (Eom Seong-yong, Joo Yoo-jin, Kim Won-young, Kim Ji-min) for their "Automated Optimization Application for Biology Experiment Scheduling."

This year's SE-DAY (Department of Software Engineering Day) expanded beyond academic presentations into a forum where current students and alumni exchanged knowledge and experience, concluding as a meaningful occasion that strengthened both academic achievements and practical competencies.
