The JBNU Alumni Association (Chairman 최병선) held a scholarship presentation ceremony to demonstrate 'support for junior students' at year-end and announced on the 10th that it awarded scholarships totaling KRW 21,000,000 to 23 students.

At the recent 2nd Standing Board Meeting of 2025 and year-end reception, the Alumni Association reviewed the year's activities and discussed key projects for the coming year. The event also included a meaningful moment to invite scholarship recipients and present the awards.

That day, scholarships were presented to a total of 23 students: 10 alumni association scholarship recipients, 10 recipients for outstanding activities by student self-governing bodies, and three recipients of the scholarship in memory of the late 한승헌.

The JBNU Alumni Association expanded its scholarship programs this year to cover a diverse range of students, including support for the '1,000-won Breakfast' program, international students, youth preparing for independent living, and graduate students. These efforts attracted significant attention from the local community.

In particular, following last year, the Association continued providing scholarships to international students from countries that participated in or supported the Korean War, and this year established the 'Descendants of Koryo-in Scholarship,' awarding KRW 1,000,000 to one student from Russia. The Alumni Association described this as a small act of remembrance of the painful history of our people and an expression of solidarity with the world.

Chairman 최병선 of the Alumni Association said, "Thanks to the steady donations and participation of alumni, the Alumni Association is growing into a community that can give more to its junior students," adding, "We will continue to expand the scholarship program so that students can concentrate on their studies in better conditions."

Meanwhile, the JBNU Alumni Association plans to begin its activities for the new year by holding the 2026 New Year's Greeting Ceremony and Alumni Awards Ceremony on January 15, 2026, at 5:30 PM in Jinsudang on campus.
