The Jeollabuk-do Office of Education and Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Regional Digital Media Center (Director Choi Yong-jun) will hold the "2025 Media Education Revitalization Forum" at Jinsudang Glocal Hall, JBNU, from 2:00 PM to 4:40 PM on December 19.

The forum aims to review the direction of digital literacy, which has emerged as a core of future education in the AI transition, and to establish a media education framework tailored to regional characteristics.

The forum is organized as an opportunity for community stakeholders and teachers from the Jeonbuk region to participate together and discuss practical ways to link schools and local communities, as the importance of digital citizenship education grows.

In particular, by having community stakeholders and teachers from the Jeonbuk region participate together to discuss practical collaboration measures, the forum is expected to further strengthen media education in Jeonbuk.

The forum will be held in two parts. In Part 1, media literacy researcher Kyung Hee-ryeong will present guidance on applying the "2025 Jeonbuk-style AI Literacy Textbook" in educational settings. In Part 2, Professor Im Tae-hyung of Jeonju University of Education will deliver a keynote lecture titled "AI Literacy for Teachers."

Professor Im earned a Ph.D. in Educational Technology from Florida State University in the United States. His main research areas include AI-integrated education, metaverse learning environments, and AI human avatar design. He has authored several books, including AI Tools for Teachers, and is regarded as an AI education expert, having given more than 200 lectures nationwide.

The forum is open to teachers in the Jeonbuk region, media education instructors, and staff of local media education institutions. Applications can be submitted through the JBNU Regional Digital Media Center.
