JBNU conveyed warm compassion to the local community through the "Kimchi Sharing for Love" volunteer activity to assist neighbors in need at year-end.
JBNU held a kimchi-sharing event on campus on the morning of November 27, with President Yang O-bong, senior office-holders, and staff participating.
That day, JBNU members salted napa cabbage and mixed the seasonings, producing approximately 400 kg of kimchi by hand.
The carefully prepared kimchi was delivered to local welfare institutions such as Deokjin Senior Welfare Center, Geumam Senior Welfare Center, and Jeonju Hyosarang Senior Welfare Center to help elderly people in vulnerable groups through the winter.
President Yang and administrative faculty members visited the welfare institutions in person after completing the kimchi-making, delivering the kimchi and offering their thanks.
President Yang O-bong said, "I hope that even this small gesture brings warm comfort to the local community," and added, "As a national flagship university, we will continue to uphold the values of public service and solidarity in cooperation with the local community."
