The 'Physical AI Agricultural and Life Sciences Innovation Forum,' which will discuss future agri‑life innovation strategies to respond to the rapidly changing climate crisis and food security challenges, will be held on November 18 at the Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) International Convention Center.
Co-hosted by Jeonbuk National University and the Rural Development Administration (Administrator Lee Seung‑don), and sponsored by JBNU's National University Development Project, the forum will bring together approximately 200 experts from universities, research institutes, local governments, and industry to engage in in‑depth discussions on the use of Physical AI technologies in agricultural practice and on opportunities for collaboration.
At the opening ceremony following the pre-event, JBNU President Yang Oh‑bong will deliver the welcome remarks. Lee Seung‑don, Administrator of the Rural Development Administration, and Kim Jong‑hun, Vice Governor for Economic Affairs of Jeollabuk‑do Special Self‑Governing Province, will give congratulatory remarks and share the region's and nation's commitment to innovation in agriculture, science, and technology.
In the subsequent presentation sessions, the latest technological trends and demonstration cases will be presented in succession, including "Direction of the Jeonbuk Physical AI Project" (Professor Kim Sun‑tae, JBNU); "Agricultural AX (AI Transformation) Strategy and Cooperation Measures" (Lee Chung‑geun, Section Chief, Rural Development Administration); "Physical AI Applications in Agricultural and Life Sciences" (Professor Yang Myung‑gyun, JBNU); and "Industrialization Case Presentation" (Yoo Tae‑jun, President, Korea Physical AI Association).
In the comprehensive panel discussion, six panelists from universities, government agencies, local governments, and industry will participate to discuss strategies for establishing cooperative structures among research, industry, and policy. They will answer questions from the field in real time, creating a forum for in‑depth exchange.
Choo Byung‑gil, Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at JBNU, stated, "Through this forum, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at JBNU plans to strengthen its central role in driving innovation in the regional agri‑life industry and in establishing new growth engines based on digital technologies.
