Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) signed a memorandum of understanding on November 7 (Friday) at 11:00 a.m. in the President's Conference Room on the 4th floor of the University Headquarters with NI Korea (President Jeong Gu-hwan) and NI Square (CEO Park Jun-do) to cooperate on education and research in AI and the fields of precision measurement, analysis, and control automation.
This agreement was pursued as part of JBNU's efforts, as a regional flagship national university, to strengthen an AI-convergence education and research ecosystem at a time when realizing AI leadership is a national strategic objective.
Under the agreement, NI Korea and NI Square agreed to donate 200 academic volume licenses of various software, including LabVIEW, to JBNU (two-year subscription, including student installation option).
This software will be used for practical training and research in advanced engineering fields such as AI and PC-based precision measurement, analysis, and control automation.
In particular, JBNU plans to use this as a basis to enhance the practical environment of its AI-convergence track and to share industry–university collaborative research and technology development results with the partner organizations to promote mutual development.
President Yang Oh-bong said, "The donated software is a key tool that provides innovative solutions across various industries," and added, "Collaboration with NI Korea and NI Square will make a significant contribution to the development of South Korea's AI and software industries, and will also help secure global technological competitiveness through the training of specialized talent."
