Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Regional Specialized Youth Trade Expert Training Project Group (GTEP), led by Professor Choi Kyung-suk, will partner with promising regional small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to explore overseas markets.

The JBNU GTEP Project Group will participate in the ‘2025 Beautyworld Middle East Dubai’ and the ‘2025 Vietnam Hanoi Wellness Food&Lifestyle Expo’ at the end of October to simultaneously expand global sales channels for regional companies and strengthen the practical, on-site skills of young trade personnel.

First, Rok Co., Ltd., based in Jeonju, will promote its premium skincare brand Dr.Bio, which is based on naturally derived ingredients, at Beautyworld Middle East Dubai, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 27 to 29. GTEP team members, students Song Su-bin and Jang Eun-ji, will accompany the company to carry out practical activities such as product promotion, buyer consultations, and on-site trend analysis.

In addition, BioTen Co., Ltd., of Jeongeup will showcase health functional foods based on curcumin solubilization technology and will participate in the ‘Wellness Food&Lifestyle Expo’ at the Hanoi International Exhibition Center from October 30 to November 1. This exhibition is a leading Southeast Asian trade fair for wellness, food and healthcare, where demand for natural foods and health functional foods is particularly high. GTEP team members, students Go Byung-ik and Im Woo-hyeok, will be dispatched to handle product promotion, sampling events, interpretation for buyer consultations, and competing product analysis.

Next, Jushin Seafood Products from Uljin, North Gyeongsang Province will exhibit frozen red king crab products made from clean East Sea red king crab as a raw material and will explore the possibility of entering the overseas processed seafood market. GTEP team members, students Kim Dan-a and Han Ga-eun, will participate at the booth to display product samples, conduct buyer consultations, perform market research, and carry out promotional activities.

Professor Choi Kyung-suk, director of the JBNU GTEP Project Group (Department of International Trade), said, 'Participation in these overseas fairs will broaden the export base of regional SMEs and provide field-based education that enables students to acquire practical international trade skills. The JBNU GTEP Project Group will continue to create a global co-prosperity model in which the region and young people grow together.'

Meanwhile, the JBNU GTEP Project Group is a Global Youth Trade Talent Development Project organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and supported by the Korea International Trade Association and the Jeollabuk-do Provincial Government. It helps regional SMEs enter overseas markets and cultivates practical global trade professionals.
