Professors Sadia Ameen and Mohammad Shaheer Akhtar Publish International Scholarly Work in Nanomaterials

Sadia Ameen, Professor in the Department of Bio-Convergence Science at Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), and Mohammad Shaheer Akhtar, Professor in the Integrated Energy-AI Graduate School, together with Professor Ing Kong of La Trobe University, have published a two-volume scholarly book presenting the latest advances in advanced nanomaterials research, Nanomaterials for Sensors and Sustainable Energy, through the global academic publisher Springer Nature.

 

This book offers broad insights into the design, synthesis, and applications of nanomaterials and systematically examines their potential integration with energy generation, storage, and sensor technologies. In particular, it provides an in-depth analysis of the scientific principles by which newly emerging nanomaterials, which have recently attracted attention, enhance performance in various energy and environmental applications such as solar cells, supercapacitors, catalysts, and gas and biosensors.

 

The work consists of two volumes with ten chapters each and provides an integrated perspective on the physical and chemical properties of nanomaterials and their application cases. It also identifies limitations of existing research and suggests directions for the development of next-generation sustainable energy technologies, thereby offering practical guidelines for researchers in the related fields.

 

Professor Sadia Ameen stated, “This publication is an example that demonstrates JBNU researchers are playing a central role within international research networks,” and added, “It will serve as a valuable reference for early-career researchers and graduate students interested in nanomaterials and energy-convergence technologies.”
