Graduates of the 'Veterinary Imaging Diagnostic Laboratory' from the Graduate Program of the Department of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging, College of Veterinary Medicine at Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) have practiced a warm act of giving for their juniors. Seven alumni who formed bonds while studying together in the laboratory pooled their resources to donate KRW 50 million to the university development fund.

The alumni who participated in this donation are veterinarians Ji‑Hyun Kim, Geun‑Ha Kim, Tae‑Gyeom Kim, Gyu‑Min Cho, Dong‑Hyuk Choo, Jeong‑Min Lee, Jun‑Ho Han, and Ye‑Won Kim. They are currently active in their respective positions and recognized for their expertise.

Based on the camaraderie and academic passion they developed while conducting research together in the Veterinary Imaging Diagnostic Laboratory during graduate school, they conveyed their hope that juniors will be able to study in better conditions through this donation.

Notably, their meaningful contribution stems from the beautiful precedent set by laboratory seniors in 2021. At that time, alumni Ji‑Mo Jeong, Ye‑Chan Jeong, Eun‑Seok Jeong, and Kyung‑Eun Kim donated funds for their juniors. This donation is significant in that it continues that tradition, representing a 'succession of giving' passed on to the next generation.

The alumni said, 'The time in the laboratory was not merely an academic experience; it led to lifelong bonds,' and added, 'We hope this donation becomes the foundation that enables our juniors to nurture greater dreams.' They further said, 'Just as our seniors passed along their goodwill to us and we have taken it up and passed it on to the next generation, we hope this warm tradition continues.'
