Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Central Library (Director Seol Dong‑hun) will provide paper-writing training to strengthen the research capabilities of university students and researchers in the Jeonbuk region.

The Central Library will hold the "Intensive Paper Writing Workshop" for three days from November 4 to November 6 at the 1st-floor Jungdo Lounge of the Central Library on the Jeonju Campus. It announced that advance registration for 100 participants will be accepted from October 20 to November 3. On each day, on-site registration will also be available for up to 50 participants.

Organized as part of the Glocal University 30 Project, the workshop is open to JBNU students as well as undergraduate and graduate students and researchers from universities in the province.

The workshop features practical, hands-on lectures that can be applied directly to the research process. Topics range from paper structure and developing research plans to journal submission strategies, responding to peer review, and using the latest AI tools.

Sessions will proceed as follows: November 4 — Paper Writing and Submission Strategies for the Humanities and Social Sciences (Jeon Seong‑wook, CEO of Geulbit); November 5 — Paper Writing and Submission Strategies for Science and Engineering (Professor Yoon Seok‑hun); November 6 — Understanding and Writing Papers and AI-Based English Paper Writing (Professor Yoon Seok‑hun).

Each lecture will cover the entire publication process through case-centered instruction, including how to write research proposals, selecting journals and preparing submissions, and strategies for responding to reviewers' comments. The program is designed to help researchers overcome the practical challenges they face.

In particular, the session on November 6 will introduce academic writing methods using generative artificial intelligence (AI) and ChatGPT, which is expected to attract interest from researchers preparing submissions to international journals.

Tailored support for participants is also available. A total of 15 applicants will be selected by lottery to receive one-on-one paper coaching from experts.

Applications are accepted via the JBNU Central Library website (https://dl.jbnu.ac.kr/). Please check the notice and apply using the QR code on the attached poster. (Inquiries: Academic Research Support Team, Central Library 063-270-4408)
