Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Central Library (Director Seol Dong-hoon) has prepared a special cultural lecture for local residents and students. On October 16 at 2:00 PM, the Central Library will host illustrator Seong-min Park for a lecture titled "Dreams Drawn with a Single Pen" in the Jungdo Lounge Lecture Hall.

This lecture, organized to promote mutual growth between the university and the local community, was planned in response to the recent high public interest in illustration and drawing.

Attracting attention as an interactive program, it goes beyond a conventional lecture: audience members will participate directly in drawing while listening to the artist's explanations.

Seong-min Park, who is based in Jeonbuk, gained recognition as a Meta drawing creator and has presented a variety of works through collaborations with the National Intangible Heritage Center, Busan Port Authority, Taekwondowon, and LX Korea Land and Geospatial Information Corporation.

He currently serves as the head of "Artist's Taste" and continues active work, portraying local and everyday stories through his illustrations.

The lecture will be open to a total of 150 participants—100 pre-registered and 50 on-site—and drawing practice materials will be provided to attendees.

Participants who take part in the satisfaction survey will have any library borrowing penalties lifted. Students will receive 10 Keunsaram Points and one hour credited toward University Life and Career Planning; faculty and staff will receive two hours of recognition for Continuous Learning.

A JBNU library official said, "This lecture is a special opportunity for university members and local residents to experience and exchange culture together," adding, "We will continue the library's role of engaging with the local community as a glocal anchor university through a variety of cultural programs."
