Professor Jeho Song of the Department of IT Applied System Engineering at Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) was selected as the Grand Prize winner in the Excellent Evaluator category of the 2025 Engineering Education Accreditation and received a Commendation from the Deputy Prime Minister for Social Affairs and Minister of Education.
The Korea Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (KABEE) selects "Excellent Evaluators" each year to honor the contributions of evaluators who participated in accreditation assessments and to promote professional development. This year seven individuals were chosen, and Professor Song received the highest honor, the Grand Prize.
From 2015 to 2017, Professor Song served as director of the JBNU Engineering Education Innovation Center, leading the center to consecutive excellent ratings in regular and interim evaluations.
Since 2015, he has served as an evaluator for KABEE, participating in accreditation assessments of eight universities, including Sungkyunkwan University and Kwangwoon University, and has been recognized for significantly contributing to the qualitative improvement and continuous enhancement of engineering education programs.
In his remarks upon receiving the award, Professor Song said, "I will continue to serve the advancement of engineering education in our country and strive to nurture outstanding engineering talent."
