Jeonbuk National University (JBNU; President Yang Oh-bong) alumnus Han Seung‑jin, CEO of Arum Agricultural Corporation Co., Ltd. and a graduate of the Department of Horticulture (Class of '75), donated KRW 10 million to the development fund to support the university's competitiveness.

Mr. Han decided to make the donation in the hope that the fund would serve as a foundation for the academic and research activities of the students who will lead future agriculture.

Han Seung‑jin said, 'I hope that junior students of the Department of Horticulture grow into outstanding talents in the agricultural field,' and added, 'I will continue close, hands-on engagement to support the juniors who will become the leaders of future agriculture.'

The alumnus's development fund will be used for scholarship programs for students in the Department of Horticulture.

The alumnus is participating as a horticulture expert in the '2024 JBNU Agricultural Start-up Specialization Project Group Overseas Field Training,' assisting junior students planning entrepreneurship or employment in the horticulture sector.
