The Deokjin-gu Children's Food Service Management Support Center in Jeonju, commissioned to and operated by Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) (President Yang O-bong) and headed by Center Director Professor No Jeong-ok, ran an experience booth at the 3rd Marudal Sports Day hosted by the Korean Traditional Culture Center on Children's Day.

The booth was organized to reduce provincial children's aversion to vegetables and fruits and to encourage healthy eating habits.

At the booth, children spent time completing a teddy bear's face by attaching vegetable and fruit stickers to a "swinging drum."

The Deokjin-gu Children's Food Service Management Support Center also displayed hygiene and nutrition educational teaching aids and leaflets developed for children and used the opportunity to promote the center.

A parent who attended the event said, "Through this activity, I was able to talk with my child about the benefits of vegetables and fruits and increase their familiarity. It was very helpful in developing proper eating habits."

No Jeong-ok, Center Director of the Deokjin-gu Children's Food Service Management Support Center in Jeonju, said, "I hope this provided an opportunity for children and their families to spend a happy Children's Day together and to form proper eating habits," and added, "We will continue to strive to be an institution that contributes to community health promotion so that children can maintain healthy eating habits."

Meanwhile, the Children's Food Service Management Support Center operates for children's meal service facilities that are not required to employ a dietitian. It receives support from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, Jeollabuk-do, and Jeonju City to promote children's health through systematic hygiene and nutrition management of group meal services.
