Jeonbuk National University Alumni Association (President Choi Byeong-seon) presented a total of KRW 10 million in scholarships to 10 current students to support their continued academic pursuits.

On April 28, the Jeonbuk National University Alumni Association invited the 10 scholarship recipients, including student Gong Ho-jun (first-year, Department of English Language & Literature), and presented scholarships of KRW 1 million to each student.

The scholarships presented that day were funded by a KRW 100 million endowment donated in 2014 by Jeong Byeong-ha, the 34th president of the Jeonbuk National University Alumni Association.

Using this endowment, the Jeonbuk National University Alumni Association annually awards scholarships to current students who are academically outstanding and financially disadvantaged, based on recommendations.

Since President Choi Byeong-seon's inauguration last year, the Jeonbuk National University Alumni Association has strengthened its scholarship foundation through various investments to seek expansion of student scholarships, and has been actively promoting a campaign to increase CMS accounts.

At the ceremony, President Choi Byeong-seon said, "As this scholarship is the result of the sincere contributions of our alumni, I hope it will serve as a seed for our juniors to pursue greater dreams," and added, "We will work to further strengthen and enrich the scholarship foundation so that scholarships can be awarded to more enrolled students."

Meanwhile, the Jeonbuk National University Alumni Association held a delegates' meeting that day to review the final accounts for last year's budget and deliberate this year's budget, and it also voted on revenue-generating projects.
