“I am grateful to my alma mater, Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), and to the professors who taught me well. I hope this will be of help to the junior students.”
Director Ji Dong-beom of Ji Dong-beom Animal Ophthalmology and Dentistry Hospital donated 100 million won to Jeonbuk National University (President Yang O-bong) to wish for the enhancement of the university's competitiveness.
The JBNU Development Foundation presented Director Ji with a plaque of appreciation on April 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the President's Office at University Headquarters, with President Yang O-bong and other senior university officials in attendance.
Director Ji said he decided to donate because he believes that giving to the university and investing in education contributes most to future development.
Director Ji said, "I hope the pre-veterinary students who are now studying and who will study in the future will bring honor to our university not only in Korea but worldwide," adding, "I will continue my gratitude to my alma mater and contribute to the university's development."
Director Ji's development fund will be designated for the College of Veterinary Medicine and used for student practical training, investment in surgical equipment and instruments for educational operating rooms, and the development of the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Established in 1991 in Busan, Ji Dong-beom Animal Ophthalmology and Dentistry Hospital was the first animal hospital in Korea to specialize in ophthalmology. It provides specialized care in both ophthalmology and dentistry.
