Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) President Yang O-bong, who has continued close communication with university constituents through dialogues with students and visits to colleges, shared a candid conversation with staff over lunch on the 11th. The meeting was arranged to hear directly from staff at the forefront of university administration about their on-the-job difficulties and to reflect those concerns in policy.

About 30 staff members, including key representatives from the Public Servants' Labor Union and the University Labor Union, attended the meeting. They shared the university's major policy directions and, over two hours, put forward various administrative policy proposals aimed at creating a vibrant organizational culture and enhancing work efficiency.

At the meeting, staff raised questions about improving the personnel system, expanding training programs, and broadening welfare measures such as improvements to staff welfare and the introduction of flexible work arrangements. President Yang responded promptly, promising institutional and employment-condition improvements, which satisfied attendees.

President Yang said, 'I intend to create more opportunities for communication so I can hear directly the various stories of staff who quietly work hard for the university's development on the front lines and reflect them in policy.' He added, 'I will make greater efforts to foster a workplace culture where staff can work with more enthusiasm.'
