Seung-hwan Jeon (Class of ’95), CEO of Iloom Deokjin & Persis Jeonju Jeil and an alumnus of JBNU's Department of Horticulture, donated 40 million won to the university's development fund to support its competitiveness.

The Jeonbuk National University Development Foundation presented a plaque of appreciation to Mr. Jeon on March 28 at 3:30 p.m. in the president's office at the University Headquarters. President Yang Oh-bong and other key university officials attended.

After graduating, Mr. Jeon went into business and realized that small actions lead to great fulfillment and further action. He decided to donate for the benefit of younger students who will have similar experiences.

He was particularly moved by the sight of children from childcare facilities who were invited to and enjoyed the university's classical music performance.

Mr. Jeon said, "I hope this donation will be used to make more junior students smile," and added, "Although these are difficult times, I sincerely hope everyone will be happy and devote themselves to their studies with an enterprising spirit."
